Dell XPS 15, XPS 17 Upgraded With High-End Intel’s 11th Gen H-Series Chips

Dell has refreshed its XPS 15 and the XPS 17 laptops with the new Intel 11th Gen Tiger Lake-H series processor.

Intel has officially announced its new 11th Gen Tiger Lake-H series processors for gaming laptops. Considering the launch of the new processor, we are seeing many OEMs launching their new products. Dell is one of the brands which is refreshing its XPS series with the latest Intel’s 11th Gen Tiger Lake-H series processors. The company has refreshed its XPS 15 and the XPS 17 laptops which now along with new CPUs also packs Nvidia’s new RTX 30-series laptop GPUs. These new models look similar to their earlier 2020 variants that now ship with Nvidia’s RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti GPUs. Let’s check more detailed specifications of each of these newly refreshed laptops ahead:

Dell XPS 15, XPS 17 Specifications

The Dell XPS 15 9510 sports a 15.6-inch OLED display that has 3456 × 2160 pixels resolution, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The display supports touch input and has a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut with a 100,000:1 contrast ratio. You can even pick the XPS 15 in traditional 4K UHD+ and FHD+ options. As mentioned above, the XPS 15 now comes with Intel’s new 11th-gen processors. The laptop comes in three different CPU configurations that include –  Intel Core i5-11400H, Core i7-11800H, and the Core i9-11900H processor. Similar to the new CPUs, Dell has also implemented new Nvidia’s RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti GPUs with the XPS 15. You get the same set of ports as that of 2020 models, except that Dell has now implemented in two Thunderbolt 4 ports.

The new XPS 15 can ship with up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 RAM along with up to 4 TB of PCIe Gen4 SSDs. As far as the pricing goes, the laptop is priced at around $1,199.99 (Rs 88,148). Moving onto the specs of the XPS 17, it sports a 17-inch display and comes in 4K UHD+ and FHD+ pixels resolution choices. Both these variants have a 93.7% screen-to-body ratio, 500-nit peak brightness, 100% sRGB color gamut, and Dolby Vision support. The laptop can be equipped with Intel Core i5-11400H, i7-11800H, i9-11900H, and i9-11980HK CPU configuration. It also ships new Nvidia GPUs that allow you to choose in between a 60W RTX 3050 or a 70W RTX 3060 GPU.

In terms of connectivity, the XPS 17 has 4x Thunderbolt 4 connectors, 3.5mm headphone/mic audio combo jack, Wi-Fi 6, and has Bluetooth v5.1 support. As far as the pricing is concerned, the i5-11400H model is priced at around $1,399.99 (Rs 1,02,842).
