Dream Girl 2 finally has an official release date. The sequel of the popular rom-com movie, Dream Girl, is hitting the theatres on July 7th. Ayushmann Khurana, who is in the lead role, revealed the teaser of the latest film on his social handles. The teaser reveals Pooja, who gets a call from Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, wishing her Valentine’s Day. The movie also stars Ananya Pandey as the female lead. The original Dream Girl was released in 2019 and became one of the most successful Hindi-language comedy films that took the audience on a joy ride. The Dream Girl 2 is expected to create the same hype once it hits the theatres on July 7.

Dream Girl 2 Teaser Out
Ayushmann Khurrana took to Twitter to announce the arrival of Pooja in a new avatar. The latest teaser of the film shows Pooja (aka Ayushmann Khurrana) sitting in a backless lehenga. In the next frame, we see Pooja gets a phone call from Pathaan (aka Shah Rukh Khan). Pathaan wishes her Happy Valentine’s Day and adds that he is listening to her voice after a long time. Pathaan also confirms that his next film, ‘Jawan’, will be released soon and asks her when she is coming. Pooja replies, “7th ko saath mein [July 7]”. The teaser got over 1.1 million views on YouTube within a few hours.

The Indian rom-com film will star Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in the lead roles. Apart from this, the movie will also star Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Seema Pahwa, Govardhan Asrani, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh, Manoj Joshi, Sudesh Lehri and Anusha Mishra in their pivotal roles. Dream Girl 2 is written and directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. The film is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures.
Dream Girl 2 Plot
Dream Girl 2 takes you on the journey of a small-town boy known as Karam (played by Ayushmann Khurrana). He is trying to live a serious life in Mathura and falls in love with a girl named Pari (played by Ananya Panday). However, his life turns turtle as the girl does not take him seriously. In an exciting turn of events, Karam somehow becomes Pooja, which further fuels his chaotic life. Ayushmann Khurrana says that he is super stoked to be a part of this film. This will be the second film of the actor with Balaji Motion Pictures. “Dream Girl 2 is sure to take the audiences on a hilarious roller-coaster ride,” the actor added.
