Hood: Outlaws and Legends, Itarus: Lord of the Dead, and Geneforge 1 – Mutagen Available for Free on the Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store freebie has been positively received by the gaming community at large and has helped the Store garner a reputation for itself. The Store has thrived in the last few years, especially after Epic decided to list Grand Theft Auto V as a free game for a limited period of time.

Reportedly, the GTA V free game listing brought 7 million new users to the platform. Over the next couple of years, the Store has continued to give away both AAA and fantastic indie titles as a way to both promote the store and bring more eyes to games that perhaps flow under the radar quite often.

This has resulted in users trying out games they perhaps wouldn’t have purchased or tried. In addition to value for gamers – this also brings more attention to lesser-known games from great indie studios.
