The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is currently underway in India. A total of 10 nations including India will battle each other for the next few weeks to win the ultimate trophy in the cricket world. And as one would expect, fans are equally excited to see their favorite teams and players play which has led to telecoms and ISPs releasing special internet plans. Excitel has just announced its new World Cup plan aimed at cricket fans looking to stream the biggest cricket competition on their TVs and other devices.
Excitel World Cup Broadband Plan Price and Details
Excitel’s World Cup broadband plan is priced at Rs 499 per month but there is a catch. It is an annual plan which means you cannot opt for it if you wish to pay on a monthly basis. You will have to pay the total amount for the year upfront.
The World Cup plan will offer internet speed up to 300Mbps. It comes bundled with Disney+ Hotstar subscription. The popular streaming app is the exclusive platform for streaming the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India. Excitel says its new plan will offer “full access to the world of Disney Hotstar”.
The plan further includes access to more than 550 live TV channels. It is another reason to go for the plan if you are still on the fence. The only thing to keep in mind is that Excitel’s World Cup plan is a limited-time offering. It is currently up for purchase and will be available until November 19. The deadline is on the same day when the Cricket World Cup 2023 final will be played.
Varun Pasricha, COO of Excitel said, “At Excitel, much like the sport itself, we recognize that cricket enthusiasts value clarity, consistency, and speed. We are committed to delivering these qualities at every juncture. The World Cup is a moment of pride and excitement, and we wanted to make sure that every cricket enthusiast can enjoy an all-access pass to every innings with high-speed internet. Our new plan guarantees that our subscribers remain seamlessly connected to the pulse of the action. It’s a game-changer for sports lovers, and we are thrilled to introduce this plan.”
Jio is another telecom provider which recently launched seven new prepaid plans for the Cricket World Cup season. Its plans start at Rs 328 per month and go all the way up to Rs 3,178 per year. These plans primarily differ in the validity and the amount of data that customers will receive. The company is also bundling Disney+ Hotstar subscriptions but the exact validity varies depending on the plan.
