Amazon Echo Show (2nd Gen) Set to Launch in India Next Week

The second generation Echo Show features an updated design as well as a large 10.1-inch touchscreen display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. For enjoyable multimedia experience, the Echo Show is equipped with dual 2” neodymium drivers and a passive bass radiator. Amazon claims the dual 10W speakers and Dolby processing ensure help deliver room-filling sound. In addition to being a multimedia device, the Echo Show also features a built-in smart home hub. Like other Echo devices, you can ask Alexa to help you with a recipe, watch movies and TV shows on Prime video, make video calls, and even see who is at the front door. In the US, Amazon Echo Show (2nd Gen) is currently available for $229.99 (INR 16,200 approx.). However, according to our trusted source, the Echo Show will be priced above INR 20,000 in the Indian market.

Amazon Echo Input, on the other hand, will be a lot more affordable and is likely to be quite popular among Indian consumers. The device allows users to add Alexa to their “dumb” speakers via a 3.5mm audio cable or Bluetooth, thanks to its onboard Wi-Fi connectivity and far-field microphones. Once your speaker is connected, you can ask Alexa to play a song, read out the news, set alarms and reminders, add items to your to-do list, or even control any compatible smart home devices. The Amazon Echo Input supports dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac networks as well as Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). As for pricing, the Echo Input is expected to be priced close to the Echo Dot (3rd Generation), which is currently available for INR 4,499 in the country.
