Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, which went official last month, will soon be making its way to the Indian market. Thanks to tipster Ishan Agarwal, we can now confirm that Samsung will be offering both the aluminium and stainless steel models in India.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 India Launch Imminent

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 aluminium models come in Cloud Silver, Aqua Black, and Pink Gold colors. On the other hand, the stainless steel model is offered in Silver, Black, and Gold colors. It is likely that all the color options will be offered in the Indian market as well.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy Watch Active in India at INR 19,990 earlier this year. Since the Galaxy Watch Active 2 offers a bigger display and has better fitness and health tracking features compared to its predecessor, it will likely be priced somewhere around INR 22,000.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active comes in two different sizes: 44mm and 40mm. While the 40mm model has a 1.2-inch display, the 44mm model features a 1.4-inch display. Both models have 360 x 360 resolution Super AMOLED panels with touch sensitive bezels, Always On Display and Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ protection.

The smartwatch is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9110 dual-core SoC clocked at 1.15 GHz, coupled with 768MB RAM and 4GB of built-in storage. The LTE variants of the smartwatch, however, feature 1.5GB RAM instead. Connectivity-wise, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 comes with Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, NFC, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and optional LTE support.

When it comes to durability, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 comes with 5ATM water resistance along with an IP68 certification as well as MIL-STD-810G compliance. The smartwatch can track more than 39 workouts, including seven that are activated automatically – running, walking, cycling, swimming, rowing machine, elliptical machine, and dynamic workouts. It also features heart rate monitoring and is even capable of performing an electrocardiogram (ECG).
