[Exclusive] Tecno Pova 4 With Helio G99 SoC, 90Hz Display Set to Launch in India in the First Half of December

Tecno Pova 4 is launching in India in December.


Tecno launched the Pova 4 in Bangladesh back in October this year. It seems that the company is now gearing up to launch the phone in India soon. MySmartPrice has received exclusive information about the launch of the phone in India from industry sources. The sources reveals that the phone will launch in India before December 15.

The main highlights of the Pova 4 include its beefy battery backup and a tall display. It is powered by a Mediatek Helio G99 chipset under the hood. Let’s take a look at Tecno Pova 4 launch details in India, specifications, features, and other details.

Tecno Pova 4: India Launch Details

MySmartPrice sources confirm that Tecno will launch the Pova 4 with the same design and specifications as the variant already available in Bangladesh. It is still unknown whether the company will launch the Pova 4 Pro in India alongside it.

Tecno usually launches its smartphones in India in partnership with Amazon, so we can expect the Pova 4 to arrive on the same e-commerce platform as well. We expect that a micro-site of the same will go live soon on Amazon.

Tecno Pova 4: What to Expect?

Tecno Pova 4 Pro

The Pova 4 has a unique pattern on the back which the company calls Energy light ID design. It has Diamond-like cut on the back and is available in two colours – Cryolite Blue and Uranolith Grey.

In terms of specifications, the Pova 4 comes with a 6.82-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution. It has 90Hz refresh rate support and a hole-punch cutout at the top for the front camera. The device features an 8MP front camera. 

On the back, there is a dual-camera setup. The phone has a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. It also packs a massive 6000mAh battery which is the biggest feature and has support for 18W fast charging out of the box. 

There is a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset under the hood. The phone also supports 5GB virtual RAM. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports AI face unlock as well.

The device runs Android 12 out of the box with a layer of HiOS on top. It supports dual SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, GNSS, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C.

The Tecno Pova 4 comes in a single storage option with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which is priced at BDT 21,990 (roughly Rs 17,800). We can expect the company to launch the phone in India for under Rs 15,000.
