One of the biggest stories coming out of the Indian gaming in the past few months was the emergence of FAU-G, a military action game made in India, developed by Bengaluru-based studio nCore Games. Since its launch, the game has continued to received updates which have steadily improved the gameplay experience and even added new modes – the most popular and significant of which was the Team Deathmatch mode, which is a staple of the shooter genre.
nCore Games’ celebration of this year’s Independence Day included a new update for FAU-G that introduces a frantic 1v9 deathmatch mode, as well as a new operator – Dhillon. This is an addition to numerous bug fixes which the community was quite vocal about, along with the ability to now edit one’s gamer tag.

The 1v9 mode is akin to the “free-for-all” match type seen in games like Call of Duty/COD Mobile that essentially means that players will be competing against one another for the top spot, without any teams. This kind of match type usually means highly chaotic and fast-paced matches that are often the highlight of the multiplayer aspect of shooters and something that could be extremely appealing for FAU-G players.
The game has experienced moderate success in a genre that has intense competition, with Krafton’s giant BGMI now back in business, along with Call of Duty Mobile steadily becoming even more impressive and Free Fire emerging as a real force to be reckoned with.
FAU-G has steadily been gaining steam on the back of its Team Deathmatch Mode and perhaps this “1v9” match type might drum up hype around the game, too. Along with this, it seems like FAU-G and nCore might have ambitions of developing FAU-G into a real hero shooter with the addition of a new operator – Dhillon.
