Motorola is rumoured to be working on a new smartphone in its Edge series. The company has launched the Edge 30 Pro and the Edge 30 5G already. The Edge 30 Ultra is also reportedly in the works. It will be a premium flagship offering from Motorola. There is a fourth smartphone which could debut soon in global markets. Motorola will launch this device as the Moto Edge 2022, according to a new leak.
The smartphone is codenamed Dubai+, according to 91Mobiles and tipster OnLeaks. The tipster has now leaked the design renders and key specs of the new Motorola smartphone. Let’s take a look at the Motorola Moto Edge 2022 design renders, specifications and other details known so far.
Motorola Moto 2022 Design Renders Leaked
Motorola is expected to launch a new smartphone in its Edge series called the Moto Edge 2022 soon, which is codenamed Dubai+. The device’s design renders have leaked online ahead of the launch. According to the leaked details, the phone has a flat back with slightly curved edges. It has the Motorola logo in the centre. The phone has a vertically aligned triple-camera setup. At the bottom edge are the speaker grille, microphone, SIM tray and a USB Type-C port.
The power and volume buttons are located on the right edge of the phone. At the front, there is a flat display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. The bezels are fairly thin, except for the thick chin. It will also come with support for a stylus. However, there is no dedicated cutout to store the stylus. According to OnLeaks, the phone is 8.2mm thick.
The device is said to sport a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display. It will have a pOLED panel and support a 144Hz refresh rate. There is a MediaTek MT6879 SoCu under the hood, which is likely the Dimensity 920 chipset. It will come with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The phone will feature a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera will support optical image stabilisation (OIS). For selfies, there is a 32MP front camera. Lastly, the phone will pack a 5000 mAh battery.
