OnePlus is focusing a lot more in the premium segment this year, at least in the first half of 2023. The company has launched two premium smartphones, namely the OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 11R 5G. The company also launched a premium Android tablet called the OnePlus Pad in India. At the time of the launch earlier this year, the company teased the launch of its first Android foldable phone. At the time, the company did not reveal much about the first OnePlus foldable smartphone. However, thanks to multiple leaks, there are some details available on the web.
A new leak has now revealed the launch timeline of the upcoming OnePlus foldable smartphone. Tipster Max Jambor, who has a fairly accurate record when it comes to OnePlus leaks, has now revealed the launch timeline of the OnePlus foldable phone. Based on the launch details confirmed by the company, the OnePlus foldable phone will launch in the third quarter of 2023. Jambor has now revealed the month during which the OnePlus foldable will launch. Let’s take a look at the OnePlus Pad launch timeline, specifications and other details known so far.
OnePlus Foldable Smartphone Might Launch Months After Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Is Announced
The OnePlus foldable smartphone launch timeline has leaked. A new leak claims that the OnePlus foldable will launch in August. The leak by Jambor did not reveal the launch date of the OnePlus foldable phone. However, if the leaked timeline is true, the OnePlus foldable phone might debut months after the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the upcoming Pixel Fold.
Google Pixel Fold launch is said to take place at I/O 2023 on May 10. The Galaxy Z Fold 5, on the other hand, might launch in July 2023. These are merely rumours and speculations, and we therefore advise taking the leaked details with a punch of salt.
The company is rumoured to launch the phone as the OnePlus V Fold. It has already filed a trademark for the phone’s name in China. Alongside, there is also a Flip version of the phone.
The company, at the time of the teaser, did not reveal any other details. There are rumours about the OnePlus foldable launching in various markets as a rebadged version of the OPPO Find N2, which is currently exclusive to China.
The Find N2 has a 7.1-inch foldable AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1550 nits of peak brightness. The outer display is fairly compact at 5.54 inches. Both displays have a hole-punch cutout for the 32MP front camera. The foldable phone has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood and a 4520mAh battery. The device supports 67W fast charging. It also features a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide camera and a 32MP telephoto camera.
OPPO or OnePlus have not confirmed any details about the upcoming OnePlus foldable. Therefore, we advise taking the leaked specs with a pinch of salt.
