The phone was launched for Rs 32,999 and offered 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage in the base model. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants were launched for Rs 35,999 and Rs 38,999. However, the phone received a price hike soon after its launch in India. All three storage options received a Rs 1,000 price hike in August 2022, owing to the rising cost of components, logistics, supply chain constraints, etc.
The phone has been available for above Rs 30,000 on most days, making the Rs 27,999 offer the lowest yet. The price is inclusive of various bank offers and discounts. The phone’s 128GB storage option is listed on Flipkart for Rs 29,499. However, the 256GB variant can be bought for Rs 29,999. If you want more RAM and storage, there is the 12GB + 256GB storage option for Rs 35,999. Customers can expect to get up to 10 per cent on SBI credit cards and EMI transactions on the purchase of the Phone (1).
For an effective price of Rs 27,999, Phone (1) offers some excellent hardware. The design of the phone is its USP. The Phone (1) has a glass build with a semi-transparent design. The outer shell of the rear panel has over 900 LED lights for the Glyph Interface, which lights up when a notification pops up or when the user gets an incoming call. Users can customise the lights in the Settings app.
The phone also packs a Snapdragon 778G+ SoC under the hood. It packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. However, there is no charger in the box. The device runs Android 12 out of the box and has its Nothing OS on top. The Nothing OS 1.5, based on Android 13, has been rolled out as well.
