Garena’s popular mobile battle-royale game Free Fire is set to collaborate again with Money Heist or La Casa De Papel from Netflix. The famous TV series first collaborated with the game back in 2020, and is back again doing the same after a year. The TV series is returning to Free Fire as an in-game event called Final Episode: Raid and Run.
Garena has dropped a teaser for the upcoming Free Fire x Money Heist event. This new crossover arrives just at the time when Money Heist Season 5 Part 2 is just around the corner. Money Heist Season 5 Part 2 airs in December, and the limited-time event in the game will bring Money Heist-themed skins, UI, game mode, in-game items, and more.
Money Heist Season 5 Part 2, bringing the three final episodes, will be streaming on Netflix, starting December 3. The Final Episode: Raid and Run event in the game will also go live on the same day, and the event will continue till December 14.
The limited-time event will also feature the Professor from Money Heist, and players will be able to team up with him to accomplish missions on the Bermuda map. The event includes tasks like finding gold and rescuing the squad.
Money Heist and Free Fire are very popular in India, and the game and the TV series perhaps want to reach each other audiences through such collaborations. Garena, the developer and publisher of Free Fire, stated that more details regarding the event would be revealed soon.
The game has been popular in India and has kept gaining more and more players over the last year or so, and it competes against games like BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile in India. However, PUBG New State is now probably the biggest competitor of the game as it crossed 10 million downloads recently.
