The Samsung Galaxy A40’s recent FCC filing confirms that the phone will come with a 5.7-inch screen. Just like the Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50, the A40 should also make use of an AMOLED Infinity-U panel. The phone will likely be powered by an Exynos 7904 octa-core CPU paired with 4GB of RAM. It will offer 64GB of onboard storage with further expansion (up to 512GB) to be possible with the use of a microSD card. As far as software is concerned, the phone will ship with Android Pie-based One UI out of the box. It has also been confirmed that the phone will support Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, and ANT+.

Samsung Galaxy A40 to be Priced at EUR 249
We recently learned from a trusted source that the Galaxy A40 will soon go on sale in various European countries. According to our source, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A40 will be priced at EUR 249 (INR 20,100 approx.). And while we cannot confirm it at this stage, there is a chance that the smartphone may be launched in India as well. Samsung had recently confirmed that it plans to launch one new Galaxy A-series smartphone in the Indian market every month till June. That means we can expect at least three more A-series handsets to go on sale in India by June.
Samsung Galaxy A40 with 5.7-inch Display Certified by FCC
The Samsung Galaxy A40 recently bagged certification from the FCC, revealing quite a few of its specifications. The phone measures 144.3 x 69.1mm with an overall diagonal of 153.0mm. Its display is apparently going to measure in at 145mm or 5.7-inches. This is a bit odd considering both the A30’s and A50’s screens measure above 6-inches. Perhaps the smartphone is intended for consumers who prefer smaller smartphones that are easy to use with a single hand. While it hasn’t been specified, we do still believe the phone will make use of Samsung’s Infinity-U display design.
The FCC filing also confirms that the A40 will offer support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, and ANT+. The rest of the phone specifications are yet to be confirmed. With that said, rumors do indicate that the phone will come powered by an Exynos 7904 chipset. For memory, the phone is expected to use 4GB of RAM with 64GB of expandable storage. Just like its siblings, the A40 will surely run Android 9.0 Pie-based One UI by default.
