Galaxy Unpacked August 2022: What We Know So Far

The company is expected to launch five new products including Z Fold4, Z Flip4, Galaxy Watch 5 series (Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro), and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro TWS. Recently, the Galaxy Z Flip4 press renders were revealed exclusively by MySmartPrice showing off the four colour options and similar design, but with a larger secondary display.

Based on the leaks, the Galaxy Z Flip4 will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 2.1-inch AMOLED cover screen. The phone is tipped to come with a 10MP front camera and pack in a 3,700mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.  It will come with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The foldable phone will also sport a dual-camera setup on the back. There will be a 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Fold4 is tipped to come with a 7.6-inch AMOLED display with a 2K resolution on the inside with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will feature a 16MP under-screen sensor. On the outside, the Fold4 will have a 6.2-inch cover display with a 10MP front camera inside the hole-punch cutout. It will feature a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. There will be a 4,400mAh battery with 45W fast-charging support, 15W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. It is expected to launch with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

Both the Galaxy Flip4 and Fold4 devices will be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro TWS are expected to come with improved ANC and battery life, while the Watch5 series will likely be an incremental upgrade over the last gen.
