EA has officially revealed EA Sports FC 25 as its newest entry in the popular football game franchise. It will be the second video game under the new FC branding after EA and FIFA decided to go separate ways last year. EA Sports FC 25 is touted to bring numerous changes over EA Sports FC 24. Here is everything you need to know.
EA Sports FC 25: What’s New?
The first thing to note is that EA Sports FC 25 will have Jude Bellingham, England and Real Madrid star, on its cover. He is 21, making him the youngest-ever cover star for EA’s football game. He will be joined by legendary footballers Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham, and Gianluigi Buffon, along with Aitana Bonmati (Women’s Ballon d’Or winner) on the EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Edition cover.
Rush Mode
EA Sports FC 25 will add a new Rush mode featuring a 5v5 gameplay experience. This mode can have up to four human-controlled players and one AI-controlled goalkeeper. It will have a smaller pitch and reduced game time. A match will last for seven minutes without any half-time interval.
This mode will have a new Blue card instead of the Red card. Players will be sent out for 60 seconds after receiving the card. The Rush mode will be available in Kick Off, Ultimate Team, Career, and Clubs. It will replace the Volta mode available on EA football games for the last few years.
FC IQ
EA has introduced a new tactical system called FC IQ with EA Sports FC 25. It is said to offer more control over your teammates’ behaviour. So, AI-controlled players should now behave differently and according to the match situation. Users will be able to assign roles to players based on their position and depending on whether the team has the ball possession or not. It is expected to offer a tactical revamp that will vary from one match to another.
Live Star Points
Live Star Points is a new Career Mode feature that will mimic real-world stats of teams and football league table positions. It will also reflect changes to the team lineup and player injuries. This will be done for 11 leagues and will be updated every week.
This new feature will allow Career Mode players to start a new manager career from the same point as a club’s real-world situation. It will be available as a post-launch update.
EA Sports FC 25 Release Date and Pre-Orders
EA Sports FC 25 will be released on September 27 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Those who pre-order EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Edition will get 7-day early access to the game on September 20.
