In a move that’s set to turn the tide for customisation-hungry players, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has rolled out its very first batch of official redeem codes—offering Indian gamers a fresh new way to snag in-game goodies. KRAFTON India announced the initiative today, calling it a major leap forward in enhancing the overall player experience.
With over 200 million users, BGMI remains a colossal force in India’s mobile gaming landscape, and this latest update seems aimed at rewarding that loyalty.
The redeem codes unlock a treasure trove of rewards including exclusive skins, outfits, and coveted weapon upgrades. And for players eyeing those high-tier looks, Pink and Purple grade items are up for grabs—arguably some of the most desirable visual customisations in the game.
“Every milestone we achieve is because of our fans,” said Minu Lee, Head of Publishing at KRAFTON India. “With the launch of redeem codes, we’re giving back to the community that has given us everything.”
The codes can only be redeemed on BGMI’s official website, www.battlegroundsmobileindia.com/redeem, from 22nd April through to 6th June 2025. The process is fairly straightforward: players just need to punch in their Character ID, one of the official codes, and a captcha to validate. Successful redemptions are confirmed instantly, with rewards delivered via in-game mail.
But there’s a catch—or rather, a few. Each redeem code can only be used by 10 players, and once that cap is reached, it’s done and dusted. Players can redeem just one code per day, and a maximum of two in total over the campaign period. Also, the codes are restricted to registered accounts only—guest accounts won’t make the cut.
Importantly, KRAFTON has warned players to steer clear of unofficial sources and fake giveaways. All redemptions must be made via the official BGMI website, and players are urged to stay within KRAFTON’s verified communication channels to avoid falling prey to scams.
