Diablo 4 Season 5: Season of Infernal Hordes Release Date and Details

Speaking of the upcoming content, the new mode is a wave-based feature which can be played solo or with friends. Unlike previous seasonal content, this mode will be available in both the seasonal and eternal realms once players reach World Tier III.

While a brief introductory quest is required, the thrill of battling through endless waves of demons is open to all. Players need to be quick and smart as they progress in this mode, as it has limited revives before it throws them out.

Players can select Infernal Offerings between waves to make their game more challenging for better rewards. Each wave lasts only 60 seconds, so quick action is essential to advance through the ranks. The ultimate test comes in the form of the Fell Council, a trio of randomly selected demonic bosses with unique abilities at the end of each Horde.

Infernal Hordes also introduces a new currency, Burning Aether, earned by progressing through waves. After successfully defeating the Fell Council, this currency can be spent for additional rewards. To unlock new Infernal Hordes, players must craft Infernal Compasses, which scale from Tier 1 to 8, with higher tiers offering better rewards.

A Developer Update Livestream is scheduled for August 1 at 11 a.m. PDT on Blizzard’s Twitch and YouTube channels to provide further insights. This stream will delve into the new season’s features and updates.
