Dying Light: The Beast Announced with a Cinematic Trailer at Gamescom 2024

As far as what has been shown in the trailer, Dying Light: The Beast will feature an open-world environment. The return of Kyle Crane further fuels anticipation around the game. The trailer showcases Crane navigating the map of Harran, but with exciting new additions. These include brand-new weapons, deadlier combat encounters, and even driveable vehicles!

Additionally, Dying Light The Beast seems to be a shorter experience clocking in at around 18-20 hours. You can see the trailer below:

According to the Steam store page, Dying Light: The Beast is a standalone zombie survival game set in the post-apocalyptic Castor Woods. Players assume the role of Kyle Crane, once again voiced by Roger Craig Smith, who has broken free after 13 years of captivity.

Crane, now seeking vengeance against those who imprisoned him, finds himself transformed by the horrific experiments conducted on him. With zombie DNA now intertwined with his own, he possesses a “beast-like power” he can wield against the massive creature haunting the woods.

Dying Light: The Beast supports solo and co-op gameplay for up to four players, with shared progression. Owners of the Dying Light 2: Stay Human Ultimate Edition will receive The Beast at no additional cost. The game offers a vast open world, intense parkour mechanics, and brutal combat.

While the ONL trailer does not reveal the launch date for the game, it is confirmed to be released for PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms.
