Sucker Punch has officially revealed Ghost of Yotei release date alongside a new trailer. The much-awaited Ghost of Tsushima sequel will release on October 2, 2025. It will introduce players to a new protagonist, a new group of villains, new areas to explore, and more. Here is everything you need to know.
Ghost of Yotei Price and Editions
Ghost of Yotei will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive launch. It will be available in Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition.
The Standard edition is priced at USD 69.99/EUR 69.99/GBP 79.99/JPY 8,980. You will have to pay USD 79.99/EUR 79.99/GBP 89.99/JPY 9,980 for the Digital Deluxe edition.
The Ghost of Yotei Collector’s Edition will be available in select countries. It will cost USD 249.99/EUR 249.99/JPY 31,980.
Ghost of Yotei Pre-Order Details
Ghost of Yotei is confirmed to go on pre-orders starting May 2 at 10 AM in your local timezone. Pre-orders will get a unique in-game mask and a set of seven PSN avatars featuring Atsu and Yotei Six concept art. These avatars will become available immediately after the pre-order is complete.
The Digital Deluxe edition pre-order will give you the following in-game items:
- The Snake armor set
- An alternative dye for the starting armor
- Unique horse color and saddle dye
- Charm
- Gold Sword kit
- Early unlock Traveler’s Maps to find statues for upgrading skills
The Ghost of Yotei Collector’s Edition includes all of the Digital Deluxe edition bonuses and a digital copy of the game. Additionally, buyers will get the following items:
- Atsu’s Ghost Mask replica display edition (6.8 x 5 x 5.9 inches)
- Atsu’s sash replica (71 inches long) with the names of the Yotei Six members
- Replica of Tsuba from Atsu’s katana (3×3 inch)
- A pouch of coins and instructions to play Zeni Hajiki (a skill game in the video game)
- Foldable papercraft ginkgo tree with wolf
- A set of four 5 x 7-inch art cards featuring the sash, the wolf, Atsu’s Ghost mask, and a key art
Ghost of Yotei New Trailer
The brand-new Ghost of Yotei trailer is about 3 minutes long and is titled “The Onryo’s List”. It introduces us to a gang of outlaws named Yotei Six that killed Atsu’s family and left her pinned to a burning ginkgo tree outside her home. She manages to survive and gets trained in combat and hunting. She returns to her home to avenge her family’s death.
Atsu has a list of six names: The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito. Sucker Punch says while Atsu’s journey starts with the goal of revenge, she will make new allies and connection that will give her a new sense of purpose.
The trailer shows us beautiful scenery of Ezo, a place now known as Hokkaido. It also introduces us to a new gameplay mechanic that will allow players to take a glimpse into Atsu’s past and understand everything better.
