Krafton has unveiled a new casual 2D game for the Indian audience, titled Cookie Run India. Developed in collaboration with DevSisters, the game will be released on December 11. Here is all you need to know about the new game from Krafton India.
Krafton India unveils Cookie Run India – Release Date, Platforms and More
Cookie Run India is now available to pre-register for iOS and Android devices. According to the publisher, the game has already recorded one million pre-registrations.
Designed specifically for the Indian audience, Cookie Run India combines elements from the globally popular Cookie Run series, first introduced in 2013, with a localized and culturally rich experience. The game features simple controls—just two on-screen buttons for jumping and sliding—making it easy and fun for players of all ages.
Players can select from a diverse roster of characters called ‘cookies,’ each with unique powers and abilities. The game will include 20 cookie characters, including two special India-themed cookies: Gulab Jamun and Kaju Katli. Each character can also be paired with a pet, adding excitement to the gameplay. The game also features iconic Indian locations like The Taj Mahal and The Coin Palace.
The game encourages social interaction, allowing players to invite friends, compete with them, and earn rewards. Operating on a freemium model, Cookie Run India ensures that in-app purchases do not provide any competitive advantage. Players can watch optional ads to earn extra rewards, while the absence of mandatory ads guarantees an uninterrupted gaming experience. Additionally, the game is optimized for smooth performance on most smartphones, eliminating the need for high-end hardware.
As per the App Store listing, the game is approximately 275.1MB in size and requires iOS 13.0 or later to operate. The game will be available for free to download when it launches on December 11 for Android and iOS users.
