As we enter a new month, Microsoft has announced a new batch of games that will be coming to Xbox Game Pass in the first half of April 2025. Highlights include the day-one release of South of Midnight, along with Borderlands 3, Still Wakes the Deep, and more.

Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition
Borderlands 3 is a fast-paced, loot-driven first-person shooter developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games. Set seven years after Borderlands 2, the game follows a new group of Vault Hunters, who are on a mission to stop the Calypso Twins, cult leaders who aim to harness the power of the Great Vault. The Ultimate Edition, which is now available, includes the base game along with all major DLC expansions, adding new storylines, areas, and gear. It is available for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass for Console, and PC Game Pass.
South of Midnight
South of Midnight is an upcoming action-adventure game that combines elements of adventure and horror in a unique Southern Gothic setting. You play as Hazel, a young woman navigating a twisted version of the American South filled with strange creatures and supernatural elements. The game’s narrative-driven gameplay focuses on exploration, puzzle-solving, and third-person combat, with Hazel using her newfound abilities to navigate a fractured world. South of Midnight is officially set to release on April 8, 2025, and it will be available for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass users.
Still Wakes the Deep
Still Wakes the Deep (2024) is a first-person horror game set on a remote oil rig in the 1970s. You play as a worker struggling to survive after a terrifying force takes over the rig and its crew. With no weapons, you must navigate collapsing structures, avoid monstrous creatures, and uncover the rig’s dark secrets in a tense, atmospheric horror experience. The game is now available for the Game Pass standard tier.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass in April 2025
As new games join the lineup, some titles will also be leaving Xbox Game Pass. On April 15, a total of seven games will be removed, including:
