
Sony’s PlayStation State of Play has wrapped up, and it delivered over 35 minutes of news on upcoming PlayStation games and updates on previously announced titles. As promised, Sony’s State of Play featured 14 PlayStation 5 and PS VR2 games, including a sneak peek at upcoming PlayStation Studios titles arriving later this year.

Concord
Kicking off the May 2024 State of Play, Sony unveiled a fiery new trailer for Firewalk Studios’ upcoming 5v5 multiplayer shooter, Concord. The trailer began with a cool cutscene showing a ragtag group of fighters. Then, Firewalk Studios gave us the first look at gameplay, including the different characters with their own weapons and fighting styles.
Concord will be released on PC and PS5 on August 23, and a beta is planned for later in July 2024.
God of War Ragnarok PC Port
The highly anticipated release of God of War Ragnarok on PC is officially confirmed for September 19, 2024. This marks the continued expansion of PlayStation Studios’ offerings to the PC platform.
The PC version of God of War Ragnarok will include the Valhalla DLC and feature PC-specific enhancements such as support for ultrawide monitors, unlocked frame rates, and supersampling technologies like DLSS and FSR.
It’s important to note that a PlayStation Network account will be required to play the PC version of God of War Ragnarok, as confirmed by a recent PlayStation Blog post.
Dynasty Warriors Origins
Omega Force and Koei Tecmo have unveiled Dynasty Warriors Origins, a brand new entry in the popular hack-and-slash series, slated for a 2025 release on PlayStation 5.
Infinity Nikki
Infinity Nikki is an open-world dress-up adventure game slated for release on PS5 with a beta test scheduled for Q3 2024.
Ballad of Antara
Ballad of Antara is a free-to-play dark fantasy RPG scheduled for PS5 release in 2025. Developed by TipsWorks Studio, this brand-new IP aims to deliver the “highest fidelity,” according to a PlayStation Blog post by the studio head.
Skydance’s Behemoth
Behemoth is the latest project from Skydance Games, the developer known for The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners. Set in “the Forsaken Lands,” a “once-great civilisation” now reduced to a barren wasteland, players must endure harsh cold and hostile enemies as they uncover hidden dark secrets.
Behemoth will be released for PSVR2, Meta Quest, and Steam VR in October 2024.
Alien Rogue Incursion
Survios has unveiled a first look at Alien: Rogue Incursion gameplay. This new action-horror VR game is slated to launch on PS VR2 in Holiday 2024.
Marvel Rivals
NetEase Games unveiled a new trailer for Marvel Rivals, a team-based PvP shooter featuring iconic Marvel Comics heroes.
While Marvel Rivals still has no set release date, we got another glimpse of its gameplay and mechanics. Additionally, developer NetEase Games announced that a closed beta test will take place in July, with more details to be revealed as the test date approaches.
Where Winds Meet
Everstone Studios’ Where Winds Meet is gearing up for a PS5 release alongside its previously announced platforms. Set in the Ten Kingdoms Era, Where Winds Meet places players as swordsmen who will play a pivotal part in influencing the outcome of the conflict.
Until Dawn
Until Dawn is set to arrive on PC and PlayStation 5 in Fall 2024, accompanied by a new gameplay trailer.
Path of Exile 2
Grinding Gear Games unveiled a thrilling new gameplay trailer for Path of Exile 2, giving fans a fresh look at the upcoming action RPG. To top it off, the developers announced a late 2024 release window for Early Access.
Silent Hill 2
Konami has finally revealed the release date for the highly anticipated Silent Hill 2 Remake. The game will be available on October 8, 2024, for both PC and PlayStation 5.
Accompanying this announcement, Konami and the developer Blooper Team have unveiled a new trailer, providing another glimpse into the game. This trailer showcases additional combat scenes, notably featuring protagonist James Sunderland battling the eerie Abstract Daddy enemy towards the end.
Moreover, Silent Hill 2 Remake also received a gameplay reveal at the Silent Hill Transmission event.
Monster Hunter Wilds
Capcom unleashed a thrilling new trailer for Monster Hunter: Wilds, the next-generation entry in the beloved action RPG series. First announced at The Game Awards 2023, this stunning title continues to impress with its vibrant world and ferocious creatures. The trailer offers a fresh glimpse into the breathtaking landscapes, which you’ll explore when Monster Hunter: Wilds launches on PlayStation 5 in 2025.
Astro Bot
The rumours are true – Astro Bot is back for a brand new adventure, launching exclusively on PlayStation 5 on September 6, 2024. Pre-orders for the game will commence on June 7, 2024.
