Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Coming to Mobile in April 2025

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be out for both Android and iOS devices on April 14, 2025, the company announced. The mobile version supports both touchscreen and external controller play, with fully customisable controls for either option.

To enhance accessibility, the mobile version introduces features like auto-potion, auto-parry, slow time, and auto-hit, along with various quality-of-life improvements. Ubisoft also confirms that the game will run at a smooth 60fps on most modern smartphones and tablets. You can check out the trailer below to get a sneak peek at the mobile gameplay footage:

From the start, players can choose between three preset control configurations: a traditional console-style setup, a mobile-optimised layout, or a casual mode with additional assists. Players can fine-tune everything from button layout to opacity, along with optional assists like auto-grabbing walls and extended dashes.

Pre-orders for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown are now live on the Google Play Store and iOS App Store. While the game isn’t free, players can try it out before committing—the official store description mentions a free trial, with the full game unlocked via a single in-app purchase. The exact pricing has not been confirmed yet and is expected to be revealed closer to launch.

Ubisoft has not officially released the device specifications for the game. However, according to the App Store listing, players will need a device running iOS 14 or later, with the game requiring approximately 2.3GB of storage. Details for Android devices have yet to be revealed.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a 2.5D action-adventure game inspired by the Metroidvania genre, set in a mythological Persian world. While it garnered generally positive reviews from critics for its engaging gameplay and design, it fell short of Ubisoft’s sales expectations, leading to the disbandment of its development team. However, with its upcoming mobile release, Ubisoft may be exploring new opportunities to reach a wider audience.
