Yesterday, Microsoft has announced that it was bringing its PC Game Pass subscription service in preview to 40 new countries. PC Game Pass, which was earlier known as Xbox Game Pass for PC, gives users access to hundreds of PC games via Microsoft’s Xbox app on Windows 10 and Windows 11. The $9.99/month subscription provides early access to upcoming Xbox Game Studios releases, member-only perks in Riot Games, an EA Play membership, and Bethesda titles, which will formally become part of Xbox in 2021.
The company is expanding its PC Game Pass preview service to 40 new nations, increasing the total regions to 86. Because this is a preview version of the service, players must first install the Xbox Insider Hub software and sign up for the Insider Program before they can begin playing. They’ll also enjoy reduced pricing initially – according to the official Game Pass website, membership costs $1 for the first month and then $10 per month after that.
