Garmin, the premium smartwatch maker, has launched three new smartwatches in India today. The company unveiled the Garmin Forerunner 965, Forerunner 265 Music, and Forerunner 265S Music. These are premium smartwatches from the brand and all three come with AMOLED displays, built-in GPS, long-lasting battery life, and multiple health and fitness-related features.
Today, the new range of Garmin smartwatches was launched to mark the 20th anniversary of the Forerunner series, which was the first running-focused smartwatch from the brand. The new range of watches are specifically designed for passionate and elite runners. The watch comes with an array of training features like stress, sleep, maximal oxygen consumption (VO2 Max), training status/load, training effectiveness, and respiration rate. Garmin Forerunner 965 and Forerunner 265 Series: Price in India and Availability
The flagship model, the Garmin Forerunner 965 is priced at Rs 67,490 and the Forerunner 265 Music comes at Rs 50,490 in Black and Aqua colours. While, the third Forerunner 265S Music smartwatch also costs Rs 50,490 but comes in different colour options – Black and Pink. All three smartwatches will be available for purchase starting today via Amazon, Flipkart, Tata Cliq, Tata Luxury, Synergizer.com, Bhawar.com, Nykaa.com, and select offline stores.
Garmin Forerunner 965: Specifications and Features
Starting off with the screen, the Garmin Forerunner 965 comes with a 1.4-inch (454 x 454 pixels) AMOLED display with a titanium bezel and the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 DX. This watch comes with a new interactive and new vivid interface which improves the overall performance. In terms of battery life, the device is rated to last up to 23 days in smartwatch mode and up to 31 hours in GPS mode. 
The Forerunner 965 is designed for marathon and triathlon enthusiasts and thus, comes with features wrist-based running dynamics, which allows users to access detailed metrics such as stride length and vertical oscillation when using the watch in real-time. The watch as said earlier comes with built-in GPS to track all outdoor running and other activities.
In terms of health monitoring, the Forerunner 965 offers an HR sensor, SpO2 sensor, stress monitor, sleep tracking, and more. As for the smart features, there is Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection onboard. The watch also comes with multiple sports and fitness modes tracking.
Fitness enthusiasts also get to benefit from Training Readiness which provides users with insights into their current fitness level and readiness for the next workout. In terms of colour options, you get Black and Aqua.
Garmin Forerunner 265 Series: Specifications and Features
The more affordable Forerunner 265 comes with a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen with 416 x 416 pixels and Gorilla Glass 4 protection up front. In terms of battery life, the watch is rated to last up to 13 days in smartwatch mode and up to 20 hours in GPS mode. 
The Garmin Forerunner 265 includes performance monitoring tools from Garmin Firstbeat Analytics like VO2 max, performance condition, training effect and more. The smartwatch also features over 30 sports profiles and a specialized triathlon mode to go beyond the usual workout. All three watches are equipped with the stamina and acute chronic workload ratio features to track and help users manage their physical exertion throughout a run.
