Gionee M12 launched as a new budget-centric smartphone from the company. The smartphone is currently available for purchase in Nigeria. The latest Gionee M12 offers standard specifications along with a decent design language. The phone features a 48MP quad-camera setup, a large 5,100mAh battery, up to 128GB of storage, and more. Interestingly, the company has introduced two chipset options with the new phone: MediaTek Helio A25 and Helio P22. Gionee M12 price starts at NGN 78,900 (approx. Rs 15,000) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and Helio A25 variant. The Helio P22 model with 4GB RAM + 64GB option is priced at NGN 75,000 (approx. Rs 14,500). There is also a top-end variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB of internal storage that cost NGN 85,000 (approx. Rs 16,500). The Gionee M12 is available in Dazzling Black and Magic Green colour options.

The Gionee M12 offers a standard design language. The front offers a punch-hole cutout at the top-left corner for the selfie camera. The right side of the device features volume controls and power on/off button. The back panel comes with a quad-camera setup aligned at the top-left corner along with a LED flash. There is a fingerprint sensor at the top-centre position. Furthermore, one can see the Gionee logo at the bottom-left corner of the back panel. Moving on, the back panel comes with a gradient finish with hues of blue and green with the Magic Green colour option.
