As we inch closer to the Made By Google event in which the search engine giant is expected to reveal a host of new products including the much-awaited Pixel 3 series and the Home Hub, rumors still keep pouring in. A lot is already known about the upcoming smartphones, both in terms of specifications and design, and now some tipped-off images have given us even a closer view of the phones and revealed a new color option.
The Third Variant is Apparently Pinkish, Not Mint Green
According to images received by Android Headlines from a reliable source, the third color option provided by Google will be sand pink, the first two being black and white. The leaked renders also rebuff rumors that claimed there will be a third size variant of the latest generation of Pixel smartphones, in addition to the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
The new images do not just hint at the existence of a third color variant, they also provide a clearer view of the phones and debase rumors that said there will be a mint variant as well. The other two colors shown in the leaked pictures do not come as a surprise, as the standard white and black color options were pretty much confirmed.
Even though references were being made to the color aqua and mint recently, it is entirely possible that this was being said in the context of design, as the white version is expected to have a power button in the shade mint. Similarly, the newly discovered sand option is expected to have a pink-hued power button.
Interestingly and possibly to the distaste of many, all the three variants will sport the same front black bezel frame, but thankfully the sides and rears of the smartphones will be more in line with their individual colors. Apart from revealing the new color variant, the leaked renders do not provide any new information but confirm some earlier rumors. Both the smartphones will have one rear camera, and two front cameras, with the bigger Pixel 3 XL housing the selfie shooters in a notch.
The Wraps Will be Off Soon
The Pixel 3 smartphones will be presented by Google on October 9 in New York at its dedicated hardware event called ‘Made By Google.’ Although the price of the phones is still a mystery, given the rising prices of smartphones, we can expect the Google Pixel 3 to cost upwards of Rs. 48,182 and the bigger Pixel 3 XL to fetch a bigger price than the Rs. 63,038.25 Google Pixel 2 XL.
Since the phones have leaked heavily already, it will be interesting to see what the main selling point would be as there are not many expected upgrades under the hood to speak off, with a base configuration of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. The key differences between the two phones boil down to the size, as the Pixel 3 XL is expected to have a bigger battery and a bigger display. However, since there are camera-focused phones, we can always look forward to better cameras.
