Is the Pixel 4a Worth Buying?
If you are looking for a compact size phone, you can definitely go with the Pixel 4a (Review), as the device features a 5.8-inch display that has an AMOLED panel and FHD resolution. The display has a brightness of over 600 nits, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. However, the screen lacks a higher refresh rate. In this price range, the OnePlus Nord or even the newly announced Nord CE 5G (Review) could be a great device if you want that higher refresh rate screen.

The Pixel 4a runs on Snapdragon 730G processor which is not that powerful compared to the Snapdragon 750G or the Snapdragon 765G SoC you get in the original OnePlus Nord. If you are in the market for a phone with great camera quality, then the Pixel 4a is the right choice. The device features a 12.2MP single rear-facing camera, which takes some good images, and beats all the devices in a similar price range. The Pixel 4a as you may know runs stock Android out of the box. As said the performance on this handset is not fast, but it can handle some mediocre gaming.
The other options you can consider in this price range could be the OnePlus Nord, OnePlus Nord CE 5G, or the newly announced Realme X7 Max 5G, and the iQOO Z3 5G. These four devices have a higher refresh rate screen, and powerful hardware equipped inside. However, you may not get the stock Android and camera experience which the Pixel 4a offers. That being said, if you want a phone with a great display, and decent camera quality, along with a stock Android experience, you should go with the Pixel 4a.
