A couple of days back it was reported that the next-generation Google Pixel flagship phone is going to launch at the Google I/O. The search giant hosts its annual developer conference every year in May or June and this year also the company is expected to conduct the event around the same time. Recently a popular tipster Jon Prosser revealed that the new Google smartphone is slated to launch on June 11. In the previous tip he didn’t reveal the name of the phone, but today he confirmed that Google is all set to launch the Pixel 5a. Let’s take a look at the rumoured Google Pixel launch details.
Google Pixel 5a Launch Rumours
Jon Prosser shared a tweet from his official Twitter handle claiming that the source has confirmed that Google is planning to launch the Pixel 5a on June 11th, 2021. It is the time when the search giant is going to launch the Android 12 operating system. According to the tipster, the company will also be planning to unveil the new Pixel Buds in April.

Prosser did not reveal much about the specifications of the upcoming Pixel 5a smartphone, but we can expect more details in the upcoming days as we move closer to the launch. A couple of weeks back the leaked render of the Google Pixel 5a surfaced on the web revealing the design of the smartphone. The design render leaked by tipster OnLeaks, suggests that the Google Pixel 5a will be very similar to the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a.
Android 12 details
Google has officially rolled out the Android 12 developers update a couple of weeks back. It has been rolled out to Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5 smartphones. The latest update comes with a Material NEXT design which sports a white background. Google has also said to make some changes with the notification tray and lock screen by including a translucent layer in the background.
The Android 12 update is also said to arrive with a new one-handed mode which will shrink the screen size and allow users to use the phone with one hand. It’s similar to Samsung OneUI and OnePlus’ OxygenOS 11.
