Google Pixel 7 series was launched last year in India. The new Pixel flagship smartphones arrived for the first time in India after a brief gap of nearly four years. There are two phones in the lineup, namely the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. The Pixel 7, as the name suggests, sits below the Pro model. It shares some of the hardware with the Pro model, such as the processor and two out of the three cameras.
The Pixel 7 was launched in India for Rs 59,999. For the price, users got 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In case you are willing to buy the Google flagship smartphone and are waiting for a discount, maybe now is the time. The Pixel 7 is available with a discount of nearly Rs 9,000. Let’s take a look at the Google Pixel 7 price in India, specifications and if you should buy it.
Google Pixel 7 Gets a Discount on Amazon
The Google Pixel 7 was launched in India for Rs 59,999. For the price, the phone offered 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has been a few months since the launch and the Pixel 7 is available for its lowest price since it went on sale in India. Consumers can get a discount of nearly Rs 9,000 in India. The Pixel 7 is available for Rs 51,090 on Amazon. The price is without any cashback or bank card discount.
Pixel smartphones have maintained a legacy of offering a great camera and software experience. With the Pixel 7, you get a dual-camera setup on the back. The phone has a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. You also get some good camera features, such as magic eraser, real tone, motion blur, etc. The camera setup can also record videos at 4K 60fps.
Software-wise, the Pixel 7 boots Android 13 out of the box. And because it is a Google phone, the phone will get the taste of Android 14 and future updates before anyone else. Android 14 is around the corner. Google will unveil its next major Android update at I/O 2023 in May. The company will only unveil the features at the event, soon after which, the public beta should be available for Pixel phones. We can expect the stable Android 14 update to be available for everyone later this year.
Google has also improved its service network in India. As reported a few days back by MySmartPrice, Google Pixel service centres are now available in over 20 cities, courtesy of the company’s partnership with F1 Info Solutions. Previously, there was just one Google Pixel service centre in the country.
Other than this, the Pixel 7 offers a premium experience with its unique design, glass body with a metal frame, a 90Hz OLED display, which is fairly compact than the Pro model, a Google Tensor G2 SoC, etc. The phone also offers a clean user interface for those who hate the bloatware on their phones.
The one area where the Pixel lags behind the competition is its battery and fast charging tech. The Pixel 7 has a 4,355mAh battery and supports 30W charging. There is support for wireless charging as well. While the wired charging speed is decent, the competition offers up to 120W fast charging. This makes the Pixel’s charging experience feel a lot slower, if you have used any phone in the past that supports anything above 65W charging.
However, as an overall package, the phone still offers great value with the discounted price of Rs 51,090.
