Google Pixel 7a leaked hands-on pictures have revealed some key specifications of the upcoming smartphone. Notably, some of its key specifications were already revealed last week. We know its display, processor, RAM and storage standards, camera, and wireless charging capacity. The new leaked images give us a clear look at the design, RAM, and storage size. Let’s take a look at the new information.

Pixel 7a Hands-on Pictures Confirm RAM and Storage

The new leak comes courtesy of Zing Newswhich has posted a series of hands-on images of the upcoming Pixel 7a smartphone. One of the images shows the fastboot screen of the device, which confirms the previously leaked information that Pixel 7a will feature LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. However, it also confirms that the smartphone will have more RAM, 8GB to be precise, and 128GB storage. Notably, Google usually launches a single variant of its affordable Pixel. This year, we will get 8GB RAM instead of the usual 6GB.

One of the images also reveals the SIM tray of the device, which shows the rubber gasket implicating that the device will also have a certain level of waterproofing. Other details are the same as the Pixel 7, which means the handset features a visor-like metallic camera module instead of the all-glass affair we saw on the last year’s Pixel 6a (review).

Other details include a maze pattern on the back panel, a Type-C port flanked on both sides by speaker grilles, a single punch-hole display, and a thick, uniform bezel. According to the report, the device was locked down by Google as soon as they learned about its existence. However, before that, the owner confirmed that it features a 90Hz display, which aligns with the previous leak.

What doesn’t match is that the new leak suggests two 12-megapixel cameras on the rear panel. However, the previous leak mentioned that the smartphone would have a 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 unit and a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens. For selfies, the Pixel 7a is expected to borrow the 10.8MP lens from its more expensive siblings – Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro (review).

Other leaked details include a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, Tensor G2 SoC, Android 13, and 5W wireless charging. Do you like the specifications that have been revealed so far? Would you pick Pixel 7a as your next smartphone? Let us know in the comment box below.
