Google Pixel 7a: Here’s What the New Leak Reveals
The Google Pixel 7a will be the company’s new A-series smartphone in India and the US. The device will launch later today. Ahead of the I/O 2023 launch, tipsters OnLeaks and Snoopy Tech have leaked the official promo video of the Pixel 7a. It confirms the design and also highlights some of the key features of the upcoming Pixel A series smartphone.
The 30-second video starts off with Google revealing the design and the colour options of the Pixel 7a. The video confirms our exclusive story mentioned above and also reveals a new Coral colour variant, which also leaked recently. The video also highlights the Pixel 7a’s camera features, especially its lowlight performance and smart features, such as Face Unblur, Magic Eraser, etc. The video ends with the mention of the Titan M2 chip, which is Google’s custom chip that provides an additional layer of security on top of Android’s default security tools.

The Pixel 7a will sport a 6.1-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The refresh rate will be bumped up to 90Hz from 60Hz. Pixel 7a will support an adaptive refresh rate to switch between 60Hz and 90Hz refresh rate depending on the on-screen content. It will continue to offer a flat display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. The device will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, the Pixel 7a will get the Tensor G2 SoC, which is also found in the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. The SoC will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device will pack a 4400mAh battery with 18W charging and 5W wireless charging support. Google will likely claim that the Pixel 7a will offer up to 72 hours of battery life in its Extreme Battery Saver mode.

As expected, the Pixel 7a will boot Android 13 out of the box. The phone will continue to feature a dual-camera setup but feature a new 64MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. There will be a new 13MP front camera as well. It will offer support for up to 8x Super Res Zoom, Face Unblur, Magic Eraser, Night Sight, etc.
The Pixel 7a is likely to launch in Singapore for SGD 749 (roughly Rs 46,000) or CAD 702 (roughly Rs 42,200). The India pricing details will be announced on May 11.
