Google is expected to launch the much-awaited Pixel 7a and the Google Pixel Fold at the Google I/O 2023 event which is scheduled to take place on May 10. Ahead of the official launch of these devices, we have been learning new details about these handsets since the last couple of months. A few days back, we at MySmartPrice had revealed the first look of the three colour options of the Google Pixel 7a. Now, in a recent development, the Google Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold pricing and availability details are surfaced ahead of the launch. The Pixel 7a pricing comes courtesy of the folks at 9to5Google who have obtained the information from retail sources.

Google Pixel 7a, Google Pixel Fold Pricing, Availability Details Revealed

As per the information shared by 9to5Google, the Pixel 7a will be priced at $499 (roughly Rs 41,000). The device will see a $50 price increase compared to the last year’s Pixel 6a. The increased price of the handset is expected to be due to a new design and some other improvements. For example, the search-engine giant is upgrading the main camera to a 64MP sensor, and the phone is likely to offer 90Hz refresh rate display and wireless charging support.

As far as the other details of the device go, the handset is expected to flaunt a 6.1-inch OLED display, 13MP ultra-wide camera, Tensor G2 SoC, 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone will run Android 13 OS out of the box. As far as the availability of the device go, as per Jon Prosser, the handset will be available from May 10.

Additionally, Prosser implies that after the launch of the Pixel 7a, the Pixel 6a won’t be discounted. As far as the launch of the Pixel Fold go, it is also expected to debut alongside the Pixel 7a on May 10. The device will be available for pre-order from May 10 from Google store. The smartphone will be available for pre-order from partner stores from May 30. The handset will be available for purchase from June 27, as per Jon Prosser. Furthermore, as per Prosser, the Pixel Fold will retail for $1,799 (roughly Rs 1,47,500).

Speaking about the specifications, the upcoming Pixel Fold is tipped to feature a 1840×2208 resolution display. The handset is tipped to have a 120Hz refresh rate screen and a 1200 nits brightness. The device is said to feature a triple-camera setup at the back which might consist of a Sony IMX787 main camera sensor. The other two camera module might include a Sony IMX386 sensor and a Samsung S5K3J1 telephoto camera. For the security purpose, the phone is tipped to feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
