
Google has finally introduced a new A-series smartphone during its annual Google I/O 2023 conference. Dubbed as Pixel 7A, the latest smartphone from Google comes loaded with a new set of features, a premium design language, better battery life, more AI-infused features, and more. The phone is available for purchase from Flipkart and comes with some interesting launch offers that make it even more interesting.
However, the smartphone is in the league of the OnePlus 11R and even its elder sibling, the Pixel 7. The OnePlus 11R India price starts at Rs 39,999 for the base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The 16GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage option is available for Rs 44,999.
Lastly, coming to Google Pixel 7, the smartphone can be bought for Rs 49,999 from Flipkart, which is a Rs 10,000 discount on its launch price. Moreover, one can avail of up to Rs 4,000 discount on HDFC Bank credit card EMI transactions, and more, which will further bring down its price.

The Google Pixel 7A and Google Pixel 7 seem to be made from the same skin with some noticeable differences. The Pixel 7A comes with a 3D thermoformed composite back and offers aluminium edges. The front panel offers a punch-hole cutout at the top-centre position. The model is available in Charcoal, Sea and Snow colour options.
The Pixel 7 comes with a zirconia-blasted matte aluminium and a polished aluminium frame, respectively. The phone offers a glass pack that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and an IP68 rating. The Pixel 7 is available in Obsidian, Lemongrass and Snow colour options.
Lastly, talking about OnePlus 11R, the phone comes with a glass finish on the back panel, which looks quite premium. Both the Pixel 7A and Pixel 7 are powered by Google’s in-house Tensor G2 processor. The chipset also comes with a Titan M2 security chip that provides world-class protection. Both the devices offer 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which is non-expandable in nature.
Coming to OnePlus 11R, the smartphone is powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and comes with Adreno 730 GPU. The phone offers comparable performance as compared to the Tensor G2 chipset, however, OnePlus 11R once again takes the lead with the option of storage and RAM. The phone is available with 8GB + 128GB option and 16GB + 256GB options, meaning that you are practically getting down RAM and storage with OnePlus 11R at the same price point as Pixel 7A and Pixel 7.
In terms of the user interface, the Pixel 7A and Pixel 7 run on the Android 13 operating system and will be the first devices that will get Android 14 once the stable version is rolled out. The OnePlus 11R also runs on the Android 13 operating system and comes with a neat user interface. In the end, it all boils down to personal preference. Those who love stock Android will go with the Pixel pair, while those who want more features and customised UI, can look for OnePlus 11R.

This is where things get interesting. All the phones are loaded with camera features and sensors. To start with Google Pixel 7A model, the phone comes with a dual-camera setup with a combination of a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.89 aperture and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree FoV. The front offers a 13MP shooter for selfies and video calling.
The OnePlus 11R packs a triple-camera setup on the rear panel with a combination of a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree FoV, and a 2MP macro shooter with LED flash. On the front, you get a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calling.
The Google Pixel 7 is also loaded with a triple-camera system on the back. The phone comes with a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.85 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 125-degree FoV, and a 48MP telephoto lens with 4.8x optical zoom. All the smartphones are loaded with features and offer premium design language at this price point. However, the newest Pixel 7a seems to be a bit behind as compared to the OnePlus 11R when it comes to display, camera, and battery. The OnePlus 11R gives stiff competition to the Pixel 7, however, the latter offers a better camera and a premium design language. Overall, if you are considering buying Pixel 7A, make sure to first check out the Pixel 7 as it is currently on sale and is a much better device when compared to the A-series phone.
