Google has officially revealed the Pixel Fold smartphone. Rumours about the first Google foldable phone have been on the rise recently. The Pixel Fold was tipped to launch at I/O 2023. Google has now revealed the launch date of its first foldable smartphone. The Pixel Fold is set to debut in the US on May 10. However, the company did not confirm any details about the launch of the Pixel Fold outside the US at the time of writing this.
Meanwhile, Google has also revealed the design of its foldable phone. The Pixel Fold’s design is identical to what we have seen in the design renders leaked some days back. Let’s take a look at the Google Pixel Fold launch details, specifications and features.
Google Pixel Fold: Full Design Showcased
Google Pixel Fold will be unveiled in the US on May 10. Ahead of the official launch, the company has revealed the design of the Pixel Fold. The 8-second-long video shows the front and back of the foldable phone. The foldable display has slightly thick bezels at the top and bottom. The top right corner of the Pixel Fold houses the front camera. We can also see antenna lines on the frame, suggesting the use of metal.

On the outside, the Pixel Fold has a tall cover display. The rear panel has a horizontal bar at the top for the triple-camera setup. There are two camera sensors in a pill-shaped cutout, whereas the third one is placed in a separate circle. We can also see the LED flash and another circular cutout (possibly the microphone) on the left of the camera sensors.
Google Pixel Fold: Specifications and Price (Expected)
For selfies, there will be two front cameras. The outer display will house a 9.5MP front camera. On the top of the foldable display will be an 8MP front camera.
The Pixel Fold is said to feature a 7.6-inch OLED foldable display. It will have an 1820 x 2208-pixel resolution and offer a peak brightness of 1450 nits. The Pixel Fold’s inner display is also said to offer a 6:$ aspect ratio and support for a 120Hz refresh rate.

On the outside, there will be a 5.8-inch cover screen with a 17.4:9 aspect ratio and a 1080 x 2092 resolution. The outer display will also support a 120Hz refresh rate and offer 1550 nits of peak brightness. In addition, it is tipped to come with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Under the hood, the Pixel Fold is tipped to feature a Tensor G2 SoC and the Titan M2 chip. It will likely pack a 4821mAh battery (rated) and offers 30W fast charging support via a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 port. The foldable phone will boot Android 13 out of the box.
In terms of pricing, the Pixel Fold is said to launch in two storage options. The 12GB + 256GB variant of the Pixel foldable phone will be priced at $1799 (roughly Rs 1,46,900), whereas the 12GB + 512GB variant will be priced at $1919 (roughly Rs 1,56,700).
The company has not confirmed whether the Pixel Fold will launch in India. However, we will share more details about the same as and when available.
