The GoPro Hero 12 Black is expected to launch soon globally as the successor to the last-gen Hero 11 Black. The upcoming action camera from GoPro will be called GoPro Hero 12 Black and the details of the same have been leaked.

Based on the current information, the upcoming action camera is said to get a minor upgrade compared to the last gen. In terms of looks and design, as you can see from the images below, the Hero 12 Black looks similar to the Hero 11 Black. However, the material around the rear display now comes with a dotted design instead of a full black approach. The Hero 12 Black is said to offer a 27MP 1/1.9-inch sensor (like the Hero 11). In terms of video capability, the camera can go shoot up to 5.3K 60fps videos with HDR option as well.

As we have seen in the past, users will be able to get a 24.7MP screengrab from the videos. With this camera, users can shoot in 8-bit as well as 10-bit settings. The camera will offer HyperSmooth 6.0 stabilization and all the software-related features are expected to be similar to the last gen. The camera will come with a 2.27-inch main display and a 1.4-inch display on the front.

On the bright side, the Hero 12 Black is tipped to offer a 1720mAh Enduro battery, which is said to offer up to 70 minutes at 5.3K (60fps) resolution. This is 9 minutes longer than what GoPro quoted for the Hero 11 Black. As for the Full HD videos, the GoPro is said to last up to 2.5 hours.

The dimensions of the device are said to be the same as the Hero 11 Black.
