Diwali is one of the biggest festivals in India and it is also probably the best time to be out looking for a great smartphone deal. Most e-commerce portals and smartphone brands line up two-three rounds of sales with blockbuster discounts on a lot of their products. Besides Flipkart and Amazon, India’s number one mid-range handset maker, Xiaomi, has today commenced its Diwali festive sale which offers not only flat discounts across all categories but also a lot of easy payment options and much more. The Diwali with Mi sale has kicked off and will continue for five days ending on the 5th of November. Particularly speaking about smartphone deals, the company is offering three of its most popular devices – the POCO F1, Mi A2, Redmi Note 5 Pro with up to INR 3,000 discount.

Redmi Note 5 Pro

The Redmi Note 5 Pro is the best seller in the mid-range category this year from the company. Its base variant is priced at Rs 14,999 but for Diwali with Mi sale, buyers will be able to buy it for Rs 12,999. That’s Rs 2,000 off of one of the most in-demand devices this year. The deal is good even though Xiaomi hiked the original price of the handset by Rs 1,000 earlier from Rs 13,999 to Rs 14,999. Even if you factor that in, it’s still a Rs 1,000 discount. The same discount can be availed on Flipkart’s Big Diwali Sale also.
Xiaomi Mi A2

If you’re not much into MIUI though, you don’t have to be disappointed. The company’s more latest stock Android offering, the Mi A2 is also up for grabs at Rs 14,999, down from Rs 16,999. That’s also a flat discount of Rs 2,000. Do note that the handset was not in stock as we were writing the deal. However, it should be live as soon as Xiaomi sorts up its inventory.
POCO F1

The third big deal is for the POCO F1, the first hands from Xiaomi’s spin-off, POCO. This was the handset that sent tremors all across the smartphone industry for offering a Snapdragon 845 packed handset at a baseline of just Rs 20,999. That was for the 6GB + 64GB variant. For the Diwali with Mi sale, you’re getting a 6GB + 128GB version by just adding Rs 1,000 to that. This variant originally sells for Rs 23,999. That’s a flat discount of Rs 2,000. The POCO F1 is, by far, the best performer in this price segment and with this price drop, there has never been a better time to buy the POCO F1. All three colour variants – Rosso Red, Steel Blue, and Graphite Black are available under the offer. The company is also selling the 64GB variant for Rs 20,999. Hence, the 6GB + 128GB version makes more sense at this point in time.
Apart from these three, the Redmi Y2 is also discounted by Rs 1,500. This is a handset that comes with great selfie-taking capabilities for the budget-minded multitude. The website is currently showing the deal as “Coming Soon”. So, you’ll have to wait sometime for it to show up.
