Rockstar Games back in June 2020 confirmed that the company is planning to bring the Grand Theft Auto 5 to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S in the second half of 2021. During the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference, Strauss Zelnick the CEO of Take-Two boss explained the company’s perspective on the PS5 and Xbox Series X version of GTA 5.

“Remastering has always been a part of the strategy. We’ve done differently than the competition – we don’t just port titles over, we actually take the time to do the very best job we can make the title different for the new release, for the new technology that we’re launching it on. So, we improve the technology, we upgrade the visuals, and we make performance enhancements. And that’s why I think our remastered titles typically do so well,” VGC quoted Zelnick as saying.
Zelnick’s statement certainly suggests that the company is working on the development of the GTA 5 before launching it on the latest next-gen consoles. He confirmed that the game will arrive with new content. GTA 5 is popular because the developers of the game release major updates frequently to make the gameplay more attractive. Recently the GTA Online received its biggest heist called the Cayo Perico Heist. The update brings the all-new location, storyline, along with some social features as well.
He also confirmed that the upcoming GTA 5 for PS5 and Xbox Series X is going to be incredible and deliver a strong gameplay experience for players. Let’s see what changes the company is planning to bring to the upcoming remaster GTA5 PS5 and Xbox Series X version.
During the conference, Zelnick was also asked about an update on GTA 6, on which he replied Rockstar is yet to announce any new title for the market and if there is an announcement it will come from Rockstar.
