Hero MotoCorp is now out with its first-ever electric scooter in India. Called Hero Vida V1, the battery-powered two-wheeler had been anticipated for a while in the country and has now broken cover in a total of two variants. These variants are called Hero Vida V1 Plus and Hero Vida V1 Pro and will start retailing in India at a starting price of Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
As can be guessed, the difference between the two models will be that of their battery capacity and the corresponding range. While the Plus variant promises a range of 143 km through its 3.44 kWh battery, the Hero Vida V1 Pro will cover 165 km on a single charge of its 3.94 kWh lithium-ion battery. Other than the class-leading range, the new Hero electric scooter has ample of features as highlights, including keyless control, a 7-inch touchscreen, and cruise control

Hero Vida V1 Electric Scooter Price
As mentioned, Hero Vida V1 will be available in two trims – Hero Vida V1 Plus and Hero Vida V1 Pro. The Plus variant will be available for sale in India at a price of Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). Hero Vida V1 Pro, on the other hand, will retail for a price of Rs 1.59 lakh, ex-showroom.
Both variants will be available in three colour options – Matte White, Matte Sports Red, and Gloss Black. The Vida V1 Pro, however, will also have an exclusive colour trim named Matte Abrax Orange.
Bookings for the Hero Vida V1 will begin on October 10, with the booking amount set at Rs 4,999. The deliveries of the booked electric scooters will begin in the second week of December in select cities of Delhi, Bengaluru, and Jaipur.
Hero Vida V1 Electric Scooter Specifications and Features
For making the above-mentioned range a possibility on its electric scooter, Hero Motocorp has used a lithium-ion battery which has been subjected to industry-first test protocols for reliability. With this, the company claims that the battery on the Hero Vida V1 can stand shock loads and can charge at a rate of 1.2 km per minute.
As for performance, the Vida V1 electric scooter can go from 0-40 kmph in 3.2 seconds and can attain a top speed of 80 kmph. Other features on the EV include a 7-inch touchscreen, keyless control, cruise control, S.O.S Alert, two-way throttle, and over-the-air updates. The electric scooter also gets three riding modes, including – Eco, Ride & Sports.
