It was back in January that Chinese smartphones major Honor launched its new budget handset the Honor 10 Lite in India. The handset was sold in two memory configurations at the time – a base 4GB RAM version that had 64GB of storage and a higher priced 6GB RAM variant that had 128GB of storage capacity. The price of the base variant of this device started at INR 13,999 while the top variant would have set you back by INR 17,999. While these prices were decent for what the phone offered, there were several new launches since January – especially the two Redmi Note 7 series handsets that received widespread praise for their value for money quotient. Honor, in a bid to attract some users who are considering a new handset in the sub 15K segment has now launched a new 3GB/32GB variant of the Honor 10 Lite in India.
Honor 10 Lite 3GB version price in India
The newest version of the Honor 10 Lite has been priced at INR 11,999. This makes the phone more than INR 2000 cheaper than the 4GB RAM version. The handset is offered in two color options, Midnight Black and a Sapphire Blue. You can also get the handset on EMI. The handset is available for purchase on Flipkart and Honor’s own website.
Honor 10 Lite 3GB version specifications, features
As you might have guessed by now, the 3GB RAM version of the Honor 10 Lite is identical in all other aspects to the pricier versions of the device except for the RAM and storage capacity. This version, like we mentioned earlier gets 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt memory. The phone also gets a microSD card slot for additional storage. As for the rest the specs, the handset is powered by Huawei’s mid-range Kirin 710 chipset. This chipset houses a quad-core processor with four Cortex-A73 big cores and four Cortex-A53 little cores. Based on a 12nm manufacturing process, the chipset also gets the Mali G51 (4 core) IGP for graphics. The Honor 10 also adds support for Huawei’s GPU Turbo 2.0 and runs Huawei’s newest EMUI 9.0 software atop an Android 9 Pie core.
As for the display, the Honor 10 Lite uses a large 6.21-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Like most modern budget devices, the Honor 10 Lite also gets a dewdrop notch to house the front-facing camera. Apart from boasting of a fairly sharp PPI density value of 441, the display also happens to be TUV certified for its eye care mode.
The Honor 10 Lite gets comprehensive connectivity options that include support for dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS/ AGPS, and GLONASS. The sensors used by the handset includes an ambient light sensor, compass, gravity, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. The phone gets a large 3400 mAh battery as well.
Moving on to the imaging department, the Honor 10 Lite comes with a dual camera set up at the rear consisting of a 13-megapixel, f/1.8 primary camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, the handset gets a 24-megapixel f/2.0 unit. The device supports Huawei’s AI scene recognition features as well.
