The Honor 20 launched in India alongside the Honor 20i and Honor 20 Pro on 11th June, and at the launch event, Honor announced that the Honor 20 will go on sale in the country starting 25th June. As scheduled, Honor 20 has gone on sale in India today exclusively from Flipkart. Let us quickly have a look at the price and specifications of the Honor 20.
Honor 20 Price in India, Offers
The Honor 20 is available to purchase in India in only one variant – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. And it costs INR 32,999. As for the offers, Honor is providing a 90% buyback guarantee on the device. So, if you don’t like the Honor 20 after purchasing it, you can return the device within 90 days and get back 90% of the original cost of the device.
Honor 20 Specifications
The Honor 20 has a 6.26-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution. This is quite a disappointment, as most other smartphones in the price range have an AMOLED display. The screen has a punch-hole for the camera, which again is bummer because most other smartphones in the segment are free from a punch-hole or any kind of notch. Take the Asus 6Z for example; it has a completely bezel-less and notch-less display. That being said, the punch-hole is better than a notch, which still many smartphones in the price range offer.
The Honor 20 comes with a quad-camera setup, which has a 48MP primary camera, a 16MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP dedicated macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. In my opinion, the 2MP sensors are there just for the namesake; they don’t offer a bring a lot to the table. The Honor 20 is also incapable of recording 4K 60FPS videos, which most of its competitors are capable of; it can record only up to 4K videos at 30FPS. The front-facing camera of the smartphone is a 32MP unit. To know more about the camera, you can check out our full review of the Honor 20.
The Honor 20 is powered by the Kirin 980 SoC. This chipset has an octa-core CPU, which includes four Cortex-A55 cores and four Cortex-A76 cores. Taking care of the graphics performance is the Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. The smartphone, as I mentioned earlier, comes in only one configuration in India, and it has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Honor 20 comes loaded with Android 9 Pie OS, and it has Magic UI 2.1 customization. Honor has guaranteed that the device will get at least one newer version on Android OS.
The Honor 20 features a 3750mAh battery, which is not small by any means, but it is smaller than what most of its competitors offer. The good thing is that the battery supports 22.5W fast charging, meaning that you can quickly top-up the battery. The smartphone comes with dual-SIM connectivity that has dual-4G and dual-VoLTE. Other connectivity options of the Honor 20 includes dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Unlike most other smartphones out there, the Honor 20 has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
