Honor is reportedly planning to launch two new devices in China, it’s home market, later this month if we are to believe fresh reports. According to Chinese blog CNMO, the two new handsets that are set to be officially announced include the Honor 20 and the Honor 20 Pro. By the looks of it, these handsets seem to be successors to last years Honor 10. Interestingly, a Pro version of the Honor 10 did not exist last year. What it did have was a ‘Lite’ version called the Honor 10 Lite. Anyway, as evident from the title of this article, both these devices are likely to be officially announced on April 25, just a few days from now. If you recall, we had reported about the Honor 20 just a few days ago when its specsheet was first leaked.
Let us now take a closer look at both these devices.
Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro Specifications, Features
According to CNMO, the Honor 20, which will be the more affordable of the two is likely to feature a fairly large 6.1-inch OLED display. The handset will also boast of an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Powering the handset will be Huawei’s powerful Kirin 980 SoC which essentially means that we can expect flagship class performance from the Honor 20. The phone is also likely to support Huawei’s 22.5-watt fast charging technology. The handset is also likely to get a fairly large 3650 mAh battery. The Honor 20 is likely to feature a triple camera setup at the rear consisting of a 48-megapixel primary camera, a secondary 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a third 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom capability.
Moving on to the Honor 20 Pro, this will be positioned above the ‘normal’ version and will feature a better and more versatile camera setup. Initial indications are that the device will get the same Sony IMX600 sensor that the Huawei P30 Pro uses. Details regarding the display size and the battery capacity are still unclear for the Honor 20 Pro. What is known is that the device will come in a 6GB +128GB variant for sire and could be priced around the 2999 Yuan mark.
