Huawei’s sub-brand gave us a glimpse of its roadmap for many HONOR devices that would potentially receive the Android 10-based Magic UI 3.0 beta software update. The company has lived up to its promise and the HONOR 20, HONOR 20 Pro, and the HONOR View 20 smartphones have started receiving the Magic UI 3.0 update in the beta form. The company has opened registrations for Magic UI 3.0 beta update in Germany for users of the devices mentioned above.
There is, however, a catch. In case you want to try out the latest Magic UI 3.0 beta update on your device, you should be amongst the first 400 users (of that particular device) to be able to receive the update, so you might want to hurry up to download the update. The procedure to download the update is mentioned later in the article.

How to Install Latest Magic UI 3.0 Beta Update on HONOR 20, HONOR View 20, and HONOR 20 Pro?
In order to install the latest beta update, the first thing that you need to do is to update your device to the latest software update available to your device. Once you are on the latest public stable version of the software for your phone, you need to download the official beta update and create an account (if you don’t have one already). Once you are done with the account, all you need to do is to click the Personal tab and tap the Join Project button. Once and if approved, the official update will roll out to you OTA within the next couple of weeks.
As of now, this update is confined to the German audience, but those living in other parts of the world should not feel bad about it as according to certain reports, HONOR View 20 devices in the Asia-Pacific region (as well as in France, Spain, and the UK) have also started receiving the Magic UI 3.0 beta (the build number for the software is version 10.0.0.157).
We can expect the update to hit the other regions during the subsequent stages of the beta testing period.
Magic UI 3.0 Beta Will Bring a Design Overhaul
The latest Magic UI 3.0 update brings the following changes to the interface:
- Magazine design
- Morandi Colour
- A new dark mode
- New animations
The rest of the changelog is currently not known as of now as even the official website has not mentioned much information about the details. That said, it’s a relief to see that there is an option to leave the beta.
As of now, there is no word as to when the phones will receive the final build of the stable version of Magic UI 3.0 software update, but it is safe to say that it is not coming anytime soon after considering the fact that the company has kept the beta confined to only select users as of now. Furthermore, we can expect plenty of bugs in the early beta build and you should back up your important data before tapping the update button.
