Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is gearing up to launch a new smartphone on May 21 in London. Earlier this year, the brand launched the Honor View 20 alongside the Honor 10 Lite. Now, it will be bringing the Honor 20 Pro as a successor to the Honor 10 that debuted back in April 2018. In the latest leak concerning the upcoming phone, we get to see its real-life images showing the front design with a hole-punch camera. The leak also revealed a few other key details, let’s dig more into it.
Honor 20 Pro With Hole-Punch Camera, Fortnite Support
The real-life images of the upcoming Honor 20 Pro show that the phone has a sleek design with super thin bezels around the display. The top left side of the phone’s body has a SIM tray hole. The leaked image shows the phone placed on what seems to be the retail box of the device.
When we look closely on the screen, we find Fortnite’s icon suggesting that the Honor 20 Pro will most likely come pre-installed with the popular game. It also hints at the potential partnership between Epic Games and Honor. To recall, Honor also included exclusive Fortnite skin for the Honor View 20 smartphone.

Moreover, the second image in the leak clearly shows the hole-punch camera. We also see another exciting app, i.e. Amazon Alexa, which means that this time around Honor could utilize Alexa instead of Google Assistant. However, this won’t be the first time when the brand would integrate Alexa for voice-assistant functionality as the Huawei Mate 9 also featured it.
Summarising the latest leak, we have found out that the Honor 20 Pro would come with a hole-punch design and two pre-loaded apps, Alexa and Fortnite. Although we do not have confirmed details concerning the camera setup on the phone, we can expect the Honor 20 Pro aligning itself perfectly with current market trends.
The rear panel design of the Honor 20 Pro is similar to the Huawei P30 Pro, featuring a triple lens setup with a slight bump on the top left. The phone will most likely debut in Black and Pearl White color options while there will also be a special Moschino edition for the fashion conscious buyers.
Honor 20 Pro May Come With Quad Camera Setup
As per the previous leaks, we expect the Honor 20 Pro’s camera setup with 5x optical zoom and a 10x hybrid zoom, and Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor. The Honor 20 variant might settle for a triple lens setup sans ToF sensor. The leaks also suggested that the Honor 20 may have a 48MP primary sensor on the back, 20MP secondary sensor, and an 8MP third sensor. The media invite for the launch emphasized the number 4 which means that one of the phones launching on the day would have a quad-camera setup on the rear, our bet rests on the Honor 20 Pro.
As for the other specs, the phone could come with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. A Kirin 980 SoC may power the device with 3,650mAh battery. We got to wait for May 21 to get our hands on the confirmed specs and availability of the latest Honor phones. Stay tuned with us to get all the information about the event as it happens.
