We have been hearing about the imminent launch of Honor’s upcoming device the Honor 20 Pro for quite some time now. This new device is set to be announced later this month along with a bunch of other Honor smartphones at an event in London. If you happen to be one of our regular readers, you will know that this is not the first time that we have talked about the Honor 20 Pro. This new device is rumored to feature a pop-up selfie camera, quite similar to the one on the Huawei P Smart Z that we talked about earlier today. Folks at GSMArena have managed to source new promo images of the Honor 20 Pro which is why we are talking about the device once again today.

Honor 20 Pro: Latest promo images

The recently leaked promo images of the Honor 20 Pro more or less confirms the possibility of the device coming with a pop-up front facing camera. Do note, however, that the pop-up mechanism is not seen in the images. The reason for the assumption of the phone getting a pop-up camera is because of the absence of a display notch. What is also known is that Honor will also launch a Moschino Edition of the Honor 20 Pro. In case you do not know, Moschino is an Italian fashion house.

Honor 20 Pro: Specifications, features

From the leaked images, the Honor 20 Pro evidently boasts of a sleek design and has very thin bezels. Earlier leaked images revealed that the handset might come preloaded with the popular game Fortnite. Moving on to the specs, the Honor 20 Pro will be a flagship-grade device that will use the Kirin 980 chipset. This SoC is currently the most powerful chip from Huawei-owned HiSilicon and is also the one that we saw on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and the P30 Pro. The handset is also likely to feature 8GB of RAM and will be powered by a large 3560 mAh battery.

The design highlight of the Honor 20 Pro is the pop-up front facing camera it would get. There was some confusion regarding this earlier. Just to reiterate, it is the Honor 20 that is slated to feature a punch hole camera. The more expensive ‘Pro’ version, on the other hand, is the one that gets the advanced pop-up mechanism.

The rear camera setup on the Honor 20 pro seems to be near-identical to the one we saw on the Huawei P30 Pro. This means this device features a quad camera setup at the rear consisting of a 48-megapixel primary camera, a secondary 20-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens, a third 8-megapixel telephoto camera and a fourth Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera for depth sensing.
