After the Honor Magic and the Honor Magic 3D, the Honor 20 and the Honor 20 Pro is expected to become the second set of smartphone from the company to feature a triple rear-facing camera. The image and expected specifications of the Honor 20 were leaked for the first time earlier this month. Now, the Honor 20 appears to be moving closer to its launch as it has received the EEC certification along with the Honor 20 Pro. The Honor 20 will succeed the Honor 10, which was launched in May 2018.
Apart from the Honor 20 (YAL-L21) and the Honor 20 Pro (YAL-L41), the Huawei P Smart Z (STK-LX1) and the Huawei Y5 2019 (AMN-LX9) appear to have passed the EEC certification as well. All these phones could soon make it to European markets.
Honor 20 Rumored Specifications, Price
While we don’t have any information about the Honor 20 Pro’s features or specifications, The Honor 20 is expected to feature a 6.1-inch OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and an in-display fingerprint reader. It will use a 48MP sensor as its primary camera. There will be a 20MP camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8MP camera with 3x optical zoom. A leaked report had alleged that the Honor 20 has passed through DxOMark’s mobile photography and videography test and managed to score 108 points.
The Honor 20 is expected to run EMUI 9 based on Android 9 Pie operating system. EMUI 9 brings features like CPU Turbo, Gaming+, GPU Turbo, and Link Turbo to the Honor 20 and the Honor 20 Pro. It will use the Kirin 980 processor, 6GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage. There would be two other memory configurations of the phone: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. The Honor 20 could come packed with a 3650mAh battery with 22.5W SuperCharge rapid battery charging technology.
From what has been reported till now, the Honor 20 variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage could be priced at CNY 2,999, while the variants with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage could cost CNY 3,399/CNY 3,799, respectively.
