Honor 20 to be offered in India at INR 22,999

The Honor 20 was launched in the Indian market back in June in a single memory configuration — 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. And Honor priced it at INR 32,999. Well, the brand has now announced it on Twitter that the Honor 20 will soon be offered at a discounted price of INR 22,999 exclusively on Amazon India. That’s a massive, INR 10,000 discount on the launch price. Unfortunately, the brand hasn’t announced when will the discounted price go live. What we also don’t know at the moment is if the price cut will be available for a limited period, or if it will be permanent.

At a discounted price of INR 22,999, the Honor 20 will go head to head against the class-leading, Xiaomi Redmi K20. And as you might expect, the Honor 20 beats the Redmi K20 in almost every aspect. With the discounted price of INR 22,999, the Honor 20 will become the new segment-leader. I don’t see any reason why people won’t buy the Honor 20 over any other smartphone in the price segment.

Honor 20: Specifications

The Honor 20 was one of the first smartphones to offer a punch-hole display. Unfortunately, the punch-hole is aligned to the top left corner of the screen, which leads a non-uniform arrangement of UI elements. Anyway, the display is a 6.26-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution.

Powering the Honor 20 is the HiSilicon’s Kirin 980 chipset, which has four Cortex-A76 cores, four Cortex-A55 cores, and Mali-G76MP10 GPU. The device runs on Android 9 Pie with Magic UI 2.1. And it is soon expected to get the Android 10 operating system.

The Honor 20 focuses on camera performance. For which, it has a quad-camera setup at the rear comprising of a 48MP primary camera, 16MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, and an additional 2MP camera that acts as a depth-sensor. Taking care of selfies is a 32MP camera sensor.

The Honor 20 has a 3750mAh battery. And it supports 22.5W fast charging. The device comes with USB Type-C port, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, and a dual-SIM cellular option with 4G VoLTE support for each mobile network. Unfortunately, there is no 3.5mm audio jack in Honor 20.
