Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is gearing up for the launch of its Honor 30 series of smartphones on April 15, 2020 in China. The Honor 30 series will consist of two devices – Honor 30 and Honor 30 Pro. A little while ago, we came across a leak suggesting that the Honor 30 Pro would feature a 50MP primary camera. Right after that, another leak popped up, which suggested that one of the Honor 30 series devices would be powered by the Kirin 985 processor. Today, we have been able to spot the Honor 30 and the Honor 30 Pro smartphones on the Chinese TENAA certification website, which has revealed most of its key specifications. Take a look at the specifications and features of the Honor 30 Pro smartphone that its TENAA certification has revealed and find out what the device has in store for us.

Honor 30 Pro: Key Specifications Revealed by TENAA

As per the TENAA listing, the Honor 30 Pro (with the model number EBG-AN10) and the Honor 30 (with the model numbers EBG-AN00 and EBG-TN00) will sport a 6.57-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. The device will feature an under-display fingerprint scanner. Though the TENAA listing only mentions a black color variant of the device, we can expect that it will launch in more color schemes. After all, the recently leaked image of the device showcases its silver color variant.

The Honor 30 series will be fueled by a 3,900mAh battery, which will most likely have support for up to 40W fast charging. Under the hood, the Honor 30 Pro will be equipped with a Kirin 990 5G mobile processor, which will be paired with 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. The Honor 30, on the other hand, will feature just 8GB of RAM as per TENAA. The devices will have scope for further storage expansion with the help of an external SD card. On the software front, the Honor 30 and the Honor 30 Pro will run the latest Android 10 OS out of the box. There, however, won’t be any Google services to be found on the device, because of the recent ban that Google has imposed on Huawei. This is something readers should keep in mind.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Honor 30 Pro will feature a quadruple rear camera setup, which will include a 50MP camera. As per a previous report, the Honor 30 Pro will sport a 50MP Sony IMX700 sensor. The details surrounding this Sony sensor are pretty scarce, but the source claims that the Sony IMX700 will be the industry’s largest Sony custom sensor. What that necessarily means is that we can very well expect the Honor 30 Pro sensor to match the Huawei P40 series 1/1.28” sensor. At the front, the Honor 30 Pro will come with a 32MP selfie shooter. It is unclear as to how the front camera will be arranged, as we don’t have any live shots of the Honor 30 Pro so far. The TENAA listing also fails to give us a glimpse of the device.

The Honor 30, on the other hand, will feature a 40MP primary camera and a 32MP selfie snapper.
