Huawei recently announced the Honor 8X and the smartphone is set to arrive in India on October 16. What we don’t know so far is the accurate pricing and launch offers on the phone. The Honor 8X will exclusively sell on Amazon India and its price chart could start at Rs.20,000. Honor will rely on the camera set up on the upcoming 8X smartphone considering what it brings with it. The Honor 8X sports a 20MP+2MP dual AI rear camera setup and features a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calling. The highlight of the camera setup comes with the incorporated Artificial Intelligence. The AI will be able to recognize over 500 scenarios across 22 categories, optimized settings and enhance photo quality on what the subjects users are shooting.

The AI camera will also excel with night shots, without the need for a tripod. The AI will use multi-frame stabilization technology based on machine learning. Simply put, if there is a lack of steady control, this technology will analyze camera movements to intelligently select and combine different frames to ensure blur-free photos.
Additionally, the 16MP front camera comes with enhanced ISO, 4-in-1 light fusion support and multi-frame image processing. These features can dramatically improve overall photo quality. It combines multiple frames into one and brightens up faces, thus ensuring the faces and environment are both clear and vivid. This is also possible in a dim environment or with a strong backlight.
Additional Camera Features
Adding to the excellent features of the AI Camera on the Honor 8X, there are more features that will catch the eye. The Honor 8X also boasts HDR mode and slow-motion video. The Camera, using the semantic image segmentation technology and high dynamic range feature could improve overall photo quality. The cameras can take slow-motion video at 120fps, 4X and super fast slow motion at 480fps,16X, along with much detailing, especially on fast moving objects.
Other Specifications
Apart from the camera set up on the Honor 8X, the smartphone packs impressive specs. The Honor 8X sports a massive 6.5-inch display with FHD+ resolution with 1080×2340 pixels. The display design features a notch and has no bezels on the sides, along with an extremely thin chin and mirror-finish blending.
The Honor 8X will come powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710F octa-core chipset paired with three different RAM and storage configurations. Honor 8X will be available in 4GB RAM + 64GB Storage, 6GB RAM + 64GB Storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage options. As for the OS, the Honor 8X will run Android 8.1 Oreo and will have a software skin in EMUI 8.2. As for the battery, the Honor 8X packs a decent 3750mAh battery, which is claimed to provide backup for at least a day on a single charge.
