Honor recently announced the launch date of the Honor 90 5G in India. The announcement came after multiple leaks and rumours about the launch and pricing of the device. Madhav Sheth, who formerly worked with Realme, has joined Honor with a new team. The company recently created a microsite on Amazon confirming that it will be sold via the e-commerce platform.
The Amazon microsite has teased key specifications over the past few days. The initial listing of the device revealed the display and software specifications of the forthcoming device. And now, Honor has confirmed that the phone will sport a 200MP primary rear camera. The brand has revealed the complete camera specifications, including the rear and selfie shooters.
Honor 90 5G Confirmed Specifications
Honor revealed that the upcoming device will feature a 50MP selfie camera placed inside the centered punch-hole. The handset will sport a triple rear camera setup comprising a large 200MP primary sensor. The sensor will be paired with a secondary 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a tertiary 2MP depth lens. The company teased the Honor 90 5G with the “Ultra Clear Smartphone” tagline ahead of its launch.
Honor adds that the smartphone has dedicated modes to take pictures in 200MP and 50MP resolutions. The company previously confirmed that the phone will run on MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13 out of the box. It also divulged that the Honor 90 5G will feature a quad-curved AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a peak brightness of 1600 nits.
The display gets a DCI-P3 colour gamut and TÜV Rheinland certification for a flicker-free panel. Honor claims that the device has a DC Dimming of 3480Hz. The brand adds that the upcoming Honor 90 5G smartphone is the safest phone for the eyes. Other smartphone specifications are expected to be revealed in the upcoming teasers. Honor will announce the price and complete specifications of the smartphone on its launch on September 14.
In addition, popular tipster Mukul Sharma tipped that Honor will launch the smartphone in 12GB + 256GB variant. He adds that the top-end variant of the smartphone will feature a MOP of Rs 40,000. This means that the lower memory variants of the smartphone will be priced much lower. Mukul also reveals that the device will launch in Midnight Black, Emerald Green and Diamond Silver colour options.
Another tipster, Yogesh Brar, hinted that Honor will price the smartphone between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000 in India. Madhav Sheth previously confirmed that the upcoming Honor smartphones will receive two major Android updates. The official also claims that the forthcoming phone will not have any bloatware.
